Art Quote of
the Day
A story should have a beginning, a middle, and an end... but not
necessarily in that order.
Jean-Luc Godard
It had to happen, hindsight and all that reminiscing nonsense. So here it is: Things I liked about Tucson - a work in progress:
Gone, but not forgotten: Tucson Moments:
Some graffiti art designed ESPECIALLY for ME! by local Tucson graffiti artists Randall & Richards. Aren't they fabulous? That randy Randy Frazee, or 'Randy Randy' (Randy
2) as he's called by his friends. "Can U C the Real Me?? Can U? Can U???"...To give them their due, Randall & Richards of 5555 Broadway, Tucson AZ will call you up (and threateningly attempt to collect the money you owe somebody else) by day... and graffiti your walls (if you refuse to pay them) by night. Randall & Richards; Impossibly talented duo.

C U 2-day or.... C U Next Tuesday...... impossibly talented dudes. Should win a Turner Prize.
Is that a dust mote in your eye or are you just having fun fun fun... I'd be a liar if I said I didn't like the Border lines.

In the departure lounge.. or simply on board the last seat outta town. I will miss it. But Denver, DC and NEW YORK were my next stops; i.e., the joy of arriving, cutting the pain of leaving by a little smidgeon.
LOOKING BACK CAN BE INFORMATIVE: Memories from DECEMBER 2007
Yesterday, I was watching an Alex Jones lecture that we'd video’d off the television in our hotel room in Austin in June (2007). In that disturbing 45 minutes, a compact volume of essential information is imparted, if not immediately digestible. It’s like ‘Everything you Re-al-ly Need to Know, but would probably Rather Not’, or just ‘The Concise & Complete ‘Best of’ Alex Jones’. 'It’s all there, and affords you the opportunity to ‘get it’ and understand it, even if you're not entirely willing to take the ‘comfort blinkers’ off. (Though how anyone could be comfortable at this point in the proceedings, I don’t know.)
The most disturbing portion of the understanding that splats on your windscreen, is the fact that you and yours and every other living thing on this planet are simply collateral to be bought and sold by the big banks, all ‘assets’ and slowly, step by ‘Ten-Steps-to-Tyranny’ step, you’re being stripped of the abilities to defend against it (them, ‘The Man’), or to even support what you ever thought you believed in, i.e. that America is a Constitutional Republic, with 'Due Process' and that we are protected by tenets set out by our founding fathers and that WE, The People, ARE the Power!!
When you wake up or ‘come to’, and you realise, you aren’t ‘the power’ any more and whatever’s left is being taken away if it’s not already chivvied out the back door and, yeah, it makes you angry. It also makes you ‘bad company’ at dinner parties and other casual soirees and get-togethers, because you know the message is too important and you can’t talk about anything else.
So, anyway… the thing about being or becoming politically aware: it makes you angry and it makes you wake up at 4am thinking about these things. You can’t sleep because you know it’s going on, all around: the inevitable, inching forward in a constantly pressured, potentially irreversible (in our lifetime) wave: The big plans for globalisation, for the New World Order. The BIG tsunami coming to wash your life into line.
So this, currently, is my state. And I had a dream last night. In the dream, I was going to the SXSW Conference (just received my ‘last chance to sign up for the conference' promo in the mail on Friday and isn’t it funny… Austin is the ‘capital’ of Texas. The city with the ‘Owl’ building and cited as one of the ‘silent’ centres of New World Order operations) and in this dream I was reading the list of discussion topics set out for the 5-day event. One of the discussion points was something about the absolute negativity of political messages in music, or cagily put, some subtext about 'politicised music' being an obvious ‘no-no’ as it ‘doesn’t sell’. But the actual understanding behind this dream message was that political music is completely proscribed by the powers that be. They want you listening to angry young songs about looking good on the dancefloor and gettin’ drunk. They want you to know everything’s fucked, but think there’s nothing to do about it. Nothing like ‘you won’t believe we’re on the Eve of Destruction’… etc. So I may hammer and yammer at the point, but at 4am this morning a thought came to me and I wrote it down in the dark.
Re Bloggerhea: In times of Martial Law, opinion is the first thing that will be outlawed, so the most important thing to voice is your opinion.
And it’s true. Blogging, the apparently excessive, pointless, umbilicus-staring practice of potting your opinions in every available bit of fallow internet space, so that others can stumble across them or be directed to them by chance, is being poo-poo’d heavily as a source of misinformation, a danger to genuine fact-finding journalism and, most fundamentally, a pointless waste of time by those doing it and those subjected to reading it.
Yet, no one twists your arm to read blogs. How can writing or reading them be so offensive to the powers that be?
You don’t have to visit specific sites on the internet and you don’t have to read anybody’s blogs. [Not yet anyway.] The scary growing realisation that to operate in your life you WILL have to log-on to the internet on a daily basis is spooky enough, but it’s not a dead HAVE TO yet (well, not yet, but as part of the NWO plan, it’s a pretty dead certainty). In the very near future, it will be mandatory to conduct all of your personal life, banking and business across the internet, where all of your activities will be monitored and logged on a daily basis. The chip inserted in the skin under your watchband is next. Be-CAUSE who knows where you MIGHT BE and what you MIGHT BE DOING when you are NOT on the INTERNET!!!? "
