[SLEEVE NOTES from the album]
""Electra's first band was English Prog Rock band TWELFTH NIGHT. She had arrived in London after 3 years Performing Arts study in New York, the city of her birth and Twelfth Night introduced her to their lifestyle: rehearsing, recording and gigging: the staples of a rock-band-on-the-road. They were exciting days, punctuated by toxic binges down the Princess Alexandra on Portobello Road with Lemmy from Motorhead, and as the song says: "nothing lasts forever". Electra and Twelfth Night went their separate ways. In their time together they produced an album, a single and whacked through a couple months of tour dates.

After restlessly chewing through 3 or 4 less technically skilled bands and a year living in Amsterdam she returned to London to a career as a session singer. Electra worked professionally with many songwriters and producers, including Nick Mason of Pink Floyd, and Rick Fenn (10CC); but most often with the very gifted songwriter/producer Craig Pruess (at the time he was scoring films and writing/producing for Sir Cliff Richard, amongst others - Later he scored for 'Bend It Like Beckham'). A few years on the session scene, led to the formation of hard-rock band (DEAD EASY) with guitarist Ian Jones (who co-wrote the early
METALLICA-single 'BLITZKRIEG'), which quickly secured major management and a publishing/licensing deal. This was her dream project and when it stumbled and fell and finally failed, due to financial (i.e. budgeting) issues (and maybe we were having a little too much fun!), she wandered listlessly through the realms of 'new' music; London's dancy/trance scene, an R&B project titled 'EVA LUNA' with Scottish producer Dave Galbraith and then out of music's wastelands altogether.

Five years of roaming the globe brought her full-circle, back to the United Kingdom and life as a songwriter and musician.

In 2003, Electra was a Finalist in the UK Songwriting Competition with 'Crawl' and as a result, was invited to perform at the New York Int'l Music Festival in Madison Square Garden April 03, Las Vegas July 03, and Los Angeles Sept 03, where she won the Festival's 'Best Female Rock Vocalist' Award. She claimed her award and performed again at Madison Square Garden, NYC in November 2003.

She has written an album of songs for her country-rock project DIAMOND KITTY and is currently developing a new electronic solo project, DEEP SIX and can be found on stage exercising her substantial vocal skills with serendipitous electronic Scottish sonic savants ALTRES; settling into the discovery of her voice as an instrument; used to explore and defy conventions. She lives most-times in Edinburgh, sometimes in San Francisco and will hopefully do so, happily ever after...

Electra also works with local Edinburgh radio station LEITHFM (98.8 on your dial). She is currently the promo poster 'face' for the station and DJ's a show called 'The Unsigned Hour'.""

[[My OWN Notes: The music publishing company MGCK Music was originally created to protect publishing rights to my own songs (previously owned by an 'other' publishing company). I fought long and hard (14 years!!!) to get the rights to my own compositions reassigned to me. MGCK Productions and MGCK Music are my project companies, in San Francisco, CA and Edinburgh, Scotland.]]
